cross country skiingLoving XC Skiing

– There is much to love about XC skiing. One of the things I especially love about it is how many different ways there are to go cross country skiing. There’s Classic and Skate skiing at the track. There is the super casual light touring around the neighborhood track or up on the pass – starting well past the stroke of high noon – c’mon – we’re talking civilized here! And there is backcountry touring either for long hill and dale tours with the chance of making some turns – or not! It doesn’t much matter because the goal of just being out has been met – what is there to be disappointed in? And then you also have the XC skiers who are in search of turns – that’s the focus and that’s the goal. So many ways to go Cross Country skiing and so many equipment options to make your ski day the very best it can be.

And then there is the skiing itself. Human propulsion. How far. How high. How fast is all determined by the effort you want to expend – or not. You can be out skiing and feel like you and your friends are the only ones out there… No one else is around and it’s so quiet – so nice – so Cross Country skiing!

And lucky is the cross country skier who is in need of upgrading their equipment or the first time buyer looking to outfit themselves to become Cross Country skiers. All XC ski equipment is on sale at Ski Haus right now. Save 40% to 50% off.

Ski Haus stocks skis, boots, bindings and poles from Fischer, Rossignol, Madshus, Salomon, Alpina and Swix.
