– The Gondola is now open providing daily access to the Steamboat Bike Park! Over the last few years, the summer trail system at the Steamboat Ski Resort has evolved into a world-class downhill playground. With the help of award-winning bike trail developer Gravity Logic, Steamboat now boasts more than 50 miles of DH and freeride bike terrain!
The new network of downhill-specific trails was designed to include options for everyone from expert riders to aspiring downhillers. Fresh improvements are evident this summer as work continues at the SBP. With features ranging from sharp turns, rock drops, large dirt berms, and wooden wall rides on the advanced trails to mellow berms and banked turns on the easier trails, the Bike Park has something for every gravity junkie!
Ski Haus Bike Shop Manager, James Koch points out that the trails are always evolving and the motivation to be recognized as a world-class mountain biking destination is undeniable when you see the efforts being made at the Resort. “The trails were pretty dusty, but it’s always a good time. There’s nothing like having lift-access mountain biking in your backyard! A little rain and we’ll be all set!” says James after riding the Steamboat Bike Park Friday.
Ski Haus has all the gear you need to get the most out Steamboat’s seemingly endless biking opportunities. We have the industry’s best Downhill bikes available for both rental and retail, including the new 2014 Specialized Demo 8. So if you’re looking to get your gravity fix, we have that!
