– The Gondola will begin providing daily access to the Steamboat Bike Park this Thursday with the Routt County Rider’s Scholarship Day (special lift ticket required), and season passes will be honored starting Friday. Over the last few years, the summer trail system at the Steamboat Ski Resort has evolved into a world-class downhill playground. With the help of award-winning bike trail developer Gravity Logic, Steamboat now boasts more than 50 miles of DH and freeride bike terrain!
The new network of downhill-specific trails was designed to include options for everyone from expert riders to aspiring downhillers. Fresh improvements are evident this summer as work continues at the SBP. With features ranging from sharp turns, rock drops, large dirt berms, and wooden wall rides on the advanced trails to mellow berms and banked turns on the easier trails, the Bike Park has something for every gravity junkie! Ski Haus Bike Shop Manager, James Koch points out that the trails are always evolving and the motivation to be recognized as a world-class mountain biking destination is undeniable when you see the efforts being made at the Resort.
The gondola will run Monday through Saturday 10:00 – 4:00, and Sunday 9:30 – 4:00. Twilight Biking is available on Thursdays and Fridays until 7:00 pm through August. Lift Tickets for adults will be $38 and $28 for season pass holders ($27/$20 for Twilight hours).
