Taking your riding to the next level!

Smoother, faster, lighter, and… electronic! The new 2012 Specialized Roubaix Pro has it all. It boasts a super light and stiff Fact 10r carbon frame with a uniquely shaped, tapered headtube, In-Zerts vibration dampers, as well as full internal cable routing… the same frame construction that won the punishing Paris-Roubaix race!

The Roubaix Pro also features the brand new, state-of-the-art Shimano Ultegra Di2 Electronic Shifters which provide for immediate, precise, and hassle free shifting. Control at your fingertips, this groundbreaking technology was first offered in the Dura-Ace line and has been thoroughly tested under the most extreme conditions imaginable. Now available in the Ultegra line, Di2 features an automatic trimming front derailleur, amazing accuracy, and easy adjustment. While you still power the bike, a high-performance lithium-ion battery powers the Di2. This power source is exceptionally reliable and guarantees a range of at least 1,250 miles (after which the battery can be recharged in just 90 minutes). “The new Ultegra Di2 setup shifts so smooth and so quick, you’ll think you’re driving an Italian sports car”, says Ski Haus employee and competitive road biker, Max Scrimgeour.

The Roubaix is well-known for its perfect blend of performance and comfort for those longer rides, and the latest offering is no exception. The Zerts design was re-engineered in the fork and seatstays, which improved the comfort over previous versions and reduced the weight. The Roval Fusee SL wheelset combines Specialized super light alloy rims with aero features for a fast and compliant ride for everyday training and racing. The Body Geometry Toupe Plus Expert Saddle is based on their minimalist racing saddle but adds just a touch more padding for additional comfort on those longer rides.

All things considered, this slick road warrior is too cool to simply read about. If you haven’t experienced a bike with electronic shifting you need to check it out first hand! The Roubaix Pro is available to touch, feel, and ride now at Ski Haus!
