– The Specialized Diverge is the road bike that doesn’t necessarily require a road. In fact, this sleek machine thrives when the pavement ends. The Diverge has quickly become one
of our most popular road bikes at Ski Haus, and is now available in models spec’d for any budget.
The 2016 Diverge Expert X1 ($3,900) was built using Specialized FACT 10r carbon and their Endurance Geometry that has been optimized for comfort during extended rides over varying terrain. It features a Sram 1×11 drivetrain creating no-fuss, accurate shifting in any condition. Everything about this bike was carefully engineered to provide the rider with a unique combination of efficiency, versatility, and capability.
At first glance, you’ll notice the hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear thru-axles, and generous tire clearance… not exactly standard road bike equipment, but definitely evidence that the Diverge isn’t your standard, run-of-the-mill roadie. The Zertz inserts that are incorporated into the fork and seatstays and CG-R seatpost add to the comfort and compliance of the Diverge Expert X1, while the unique “One By” drivetrain and tuned frame and fork keep it precise and responsive when taking on terrain that would cause lesser road bikes to hit the brakes.
The Diverge comes in a variety of flavors for 2016 with options in both aluminum and carbon. Retail pricing ranges from $850 to $5,500. We are offering the Comp Carbon model (Pictured above, $3,300) in our demo fleet this season, so there’s no better time to hit the road-less-traveled! See you at the ‘Haus.
