The Ski Haus Homemade Chili and Homemade Pie Contest is back! The Chili and Pie Cookoff is being held Saturday, October 16, 2021 in conjunction with the Ski Haus Super Sale Weekend!
Contestants have the chance at winning a new pair of alpine skis, or a new pair of alpine boots, or a brand new snowboard! There are prizes for runner up contestants, too!
The Homemade Chili and Pie Cookoff was cancelled in 2020 for obvious reasons. However, Ski Haus customers are asking if we will be holding it this year… The answer is yes!
Three Categories to Enter
There are three categories a contestant can enter: Red Chili, Green Chili, and Homemade Pies. You may enter in one or all three categories. To enter simply stop by or call Ski Haus to sign up.
We will be reducing the number of entries this year to provide plenty of space for participants and judges to be spread out. So sign up early to reserve your spot!
Who Will Judge the Entries?
The public will be judging the entries. If you have interest in tasting all the great chili and pies we are asking for a minimum $5 donation to receive your voting tickets. All money collected will benefit the Routt County Humane Society. Additionally, we will gladly accept as much as you care to donate over the $5. The animals at the shelter will appreciate it!
Chili contestants must provide their own stove to keep their chili tasty warm. Preparing plenty of chili so more people can get a taste will ensure more winning votes. If you run out of chili or pie early you will be reducing your chances of getting all the winning votes you deserve!
