It’s Not Who Crosses The Finish First… It’s Who Showed UP!

The Lake Catamount XC Sprint Marathon, part of the Pleasant Valley Race Ride Tour Series hosted by Ski Haus and Lake Catamount Touring Center, was held this past Sunday (2.18.18). It was a great day and all the racers and folks who came out for a ski had a wonderful time.

Skiers chose between 2k, 5k, 7k, 13k, and 26k distances. The majority skied the 13k course and around 20 or so of the heartiest of hearty skied the full 26k. Total participation for all distances was 102. We were stoked on the number of skiers who showed up to race.

The youngest skier was 3 years old and our eldest young skier was 73. You’re never too young or too experienced to enter one of our races. Participation and fun is goal and if you want to redline your effort we’re always in awe of the ski effort. All of our local Steamboat Winter Sports Club Nordic athletes are very impressive!
