– The Olukai Moloa sounds like my kind of shoe or at least it is the type of shoe I aspire to. Moloa (moh-loh-ah) means Lazy in the Hawaiian language. I think I was lazy for about 5 minutes this past weekend… my own fault but I think a pair of Moloa shoes may help me improve my lazy percentage.
Ski Haus has carried Olukai shoes and sandals for several years now and we are continually impressed with the construction and style. The Moloa is constructed with Olukai’s premium full-grain leather. Full grain leather means durability and strength – both of which are attributes we look for in the shoes we buy for ourselves and Ski Haus.
The Moloa has a casual look and feel to them. Around Steamboat Springs these shoes can easily pass as our “dress up” shoes or hanging out in the hammock shoes… It all might depend on hardcore you with the name’s translation. These shoes fit a bit wide and a touch loose but the support and comfort are second to none. A little loose fitting is a good thing when you’re thinking casual and slowing down the pace a bit. I typically wear an USA 11 and I’d take that same size in the Moloa thinking about toe space (length).
Here are the shoes specs:
Outsole – all weather non-marking rubber outsole with full-grain leather foxing.
Footbed – Long lasting anatomical contoured footebed with Dri-Lec microfiber cover. Removable and washable.
Drop-In Heel – Olukai’s verstile drop-in heel lets you wear these both as a shoe or a slide. Casual or Lazy…
Ski Haus carries the Olukai Moloa in Black/Toffee and Ray/Toffee
