1:75,000 Scale Equals 45 USGS Quad Maps
The new Latitude 40° Trail Map of the Steamboat Springs area is here! Ski Haus has been anxiously awaiting its arrival for months and it is quickly becoming a staff favorite.
There’s no secret we love looking, planning, discovering, and selling maps. Without a map you’re lost! You certainly won’t know where to go or how to get there.
The Scale of the Matter
The 1:75,000 scale offers a massive overview of the Park Range, Steamboat’s home mountains. It covers the Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area and Rabbit Ears Pass just as many other maps do. The Latitude 40° map differs in that it also covers practically the entire Sarvis Creek Wilderness Area and terrain northwest of Steamboat Lake and southeast of Rabbit Ears Pass.
Mary and Grant at Latitude 40° are a very detailed duo. Their desire for accuracy perhaps inhibits frequent new releases but once a map is released you know you can count on it.
