By September 3, 2011 Bicycles

New downhill mountain bike trails opened at the Steamboat Ski Area this weekend offering locals and visitors a taste of what’s to come beginning next summer. The much anticipated Steamboat Bike Park officially opens next year; however 3 of the new Gravity trails will be open to the public through the end of this month as a part of a special Fall preview. Those trails include E-Z Rider and Wrangler Gulch, both of which are green (or easier) trails, as well as Buckin’ Bronc which is a jump trail designed for more advanced riders. The green trails feature dirt berms, banked turns and wooden slat and ladder bridges. While the more advanced of the 3 new trails boasts step down rollers, wooden berm/wall ride, a ten-foot wooden ladder step down, step up, a line of nine table-top dirt jumps, and more. Whatever your ability level, Ski Haus offers an extensive selection of DH/FR gear to ensure you’ll get the most out of your next downhill experience! With great end-of-season deals on 2011 bikes such as the Specialized BigHit , we’re here to make sure you’re prepared to go big!
