– Gloria, a beautiful name which conjures up the image of my childhood best friend’s mother, Gloria Schuster. A wonderful lady whom so often acted as a satellite mother to me while playing any number of childhood games around the Schuster household. Childhood was so Moring Gloria Mtb trailsimple, the world was so new, gaining new life experiences each and every day, and only having one true concern, to play as much as possible. Fast forward 20 years and a new beautiful Gloria has entered my life reminding me of those childhood principals of new experiences and play as much as possible; Morning Gloria!

Moring Gloria TrailThis is a spectacular new trail on Steamboat Springs own Emerald Mountain. From the first sweeping views of the southern Yampa Valley to the spectacular flowy rock track near the bottom of the trail, I was having about as much fun as eating play-dough in the Schusters basement as a young child (Colin Schuster can vouch that this was way more fun than it sounds as an adult). This decent had me grinning like a child on their first two wheeler ride. Morning Gloria is such a spectacular addition to the trail system of our majestic Emerald Mountain.

This is a great trail that requires little braking on the downhill and ample time to enjoy a speedy decent through the trees. The Morning Gloria Trail is pretty low angle making the switchback ascent not technical and giving all riders easier access to the top of Emerald. After the ride I pieced together new loops and put together my new Steamboat valley dream ride, Morning Gloria To Connector over to Beall and back. To me this will become my ideal in town easy access ride with plenty of rolling climbing and extremely fast and fun downhill ridding appropriate for bikers of all ages and abilities. Morning Gloria, I hope, will make your inner child scream with joy and excitement as it was for my first decent of this welcomed new addition to the Emerald Mountain Trail System!
