– The new Five Ten Kestrel MTB shoe has been cleverly crafted for maximum efficiency while providing impressive durability. Five Ten has been the go-to brand here at the Ski Haus when it comes to riding platform pedals, however this latest offering is sure to grab the attention of any mountain biker riding clipless!
The Kestrel Shoe uses a proprietary dual-compound Stealth rubber outsole that provides the best of both worlds: Stealth C4 (the hardest of the Stealth Compounds) is utilized where the pedal contacts the shoe resulting in increased power transfer with no hang-ups, while Mi6 (a tacky compound) is found on the toe and the heel to provide increased traction off the bike. And the Kestrel is anything but bulky… Its sleek profile and breathable mesh upper make it appealing to the uphill crowd, while the durability of the outsole and the synthetic water-resistant toe box makes it perfect for descenders as well. The snug BOA IP1 closure system permits a custom fit with the turn of a dial, which is sure to please whatever your riding style!
We have a great selection of Five Ten cycling shoes in stock (for guys and gals), including the new Kestrel ($180). See you at the ‘Haus!
