– The Feed Zone Table cookbook is just what I’ve been looking for. I own the first Feed Zone Cookbook and the Feed Zone Portables and definitely have my favorite recipes from both books. However, since I’m not that adept at tablespoons, 1/3 cups, and ounces – I’ve always wanted larger portions but wasn’t confident or didn’t want to take the time to figure out how to increase the recipe to give me the amount I was craving.
Well along comes Feed Zone Table Family Style Meals to Nourish Life and Sport loaded with new recipes with (maybe) some leftovers in mind. I am a good eater. But to simply say this is the third Feed Zone Cookbook with larger portions would grossly underrate what this book has to offer. Look at the Forward, Preface, Introduction, and opening essays on Where to Sit, Social Fuel, Diet-Health Paradox, Loneliness, Technology vs Culture… Wow. Talk about taking food and nutrition to the next level – the reading even before you get to the recipes is fascinating.
I’m not going to list out some of the tastiest dinners that appeal to me – I might as well list the whole book – but the chapters breakdown with Drinks, Starters, Sides Salads & Soups, Chicken, Seafood, Pork, Beef Lamb Bison, Meatless, and Sweet. Something for everyone.
If you aren’t aware of the Feed Zone series of cookbooks the premise is pretty simple. Real food for real nutrition for real people – that is folks trying to balance family, training, outdoor fun, work, and the everyday busyness of life. Here are the cookbooks to help you along that tightrope of time and priorities.
