Bluebird Powder Day 2010/2011 content coming this Fall.
SNOWBOARDING - The Burton Triumph is designed for bigger riders who ride more aggressively than most. A mid-wide shape for size 10 to 12 boots and a stiffer construction make the Triumph the freeride board of choice for many. A two year warranty proves Burton knows this stick is not for the timid.

New construction techniques from Salomon bring us three new boards. The Patrol, Special, and Ivy, consist of the latest generation of Spaceframe construction. These boards ride smooth and consistent at moderate speeds, but push the pedal to the floor and the turbo kicks in. Patrol is built for size 10 boots and larger. Special is all mountain freestyle for average size folks. Ivy is women specific with a softer flex, narrower shape, and real stitching on the top sheet for a classy graphic. All three boards are lighter and cleaner looking than their predecessors.

The most revolutionary product in the snowboard industry this year is the Relay Binding from Salomon. Previously, high-performance bindings were stiff yet uncomfortable and comfortable bindings were soft and unresponsive. The Relay has combined the utmost in comfort with supreme performance. A soft, flexible heelcup allows for a uniform wrap of the ankle strap and more lateral flex than most bindings. A cable connects the high-back to the base plate for instantaneous heelside response. A fully padded baseplate rounds out the comfort features.

Steamboat is full of snowboarders who love to hike and/or snowmachine to access the bottomless fluff. Burton’s Driver X is the boot for anyone looking for a stiffer boot with unprecedented traction. A Vibram sole will guarantee the best traction on the snow or snowmobile. Driver X is the stiffest boot from Burton providing response to thread tight lines in the trees, where the best snow remains for days after the most recent dump.

Both Salomon and Burton are upping the ante in lightweight bindings. Burton’s Co2 features a responsive mesh highback and the highest quality straps, making it the pinnacle of Burton&Mac226;s binding line. Salomon has introduced the Classic for men, and redesigned the Antidote for women bring lightweight responsive bindings to the customer for $170 and $160, respectively. This sort of performance at such a value cannot be found from any other manufacturer.
