			My morning bike commute is the best ride in the world. Up before dawn, on the saddle and peddaling at first light... Last week I caught two rowdy black bears playing in the middle of the dirt road. This week a Bald Eagle, fishing for his morning breakfast along the Yampa River, gave me the highlight of the week. It is pretty darn amazing what you see when you pry yourself out from behind the isolation of your car's windshield and pedal to work once ina while. Photo: M.
